150 Orders and Counting for Mother's Day at Kings Park Florist

Kings Park Florist owner Judy McAvey estimates more than 150 orders have already been placed and there is still time to order floral arrangements before Mother's Day this Sunday.

"This is the busiest holiday," said McAvey. "We are the only ones in town, so it is very busy."

Most popular items include vase arrangements and hanging baskets. Shoppers can place local orders up until Saturday evening. After that, McAvey said customers can come in to the shop and pick up pre-made arrangements on Sunday when the shop will be open from 9 a.m.- 2:30 p.m.
