Cops: St. James Woman Drove Wrong Way in Nassau, Had BAC Twice Legal Limit
The incident occurred early Thursday morning, police say.

A St. James woman drove drunk and in the wrong direction on Route 135 in Bethpage early Thursday morning, authorities said.
Nassau Police say several 911 callers notified highway patrol officers at 1:05 a.m. about a white Toyota Camry that was driving north in the left lane of the southbound Route 135 near Exit 4, by the Southern State Parkway.
Police located the car, occupied by Jillian Dethuin, 31, at Exit 7E in Bethpage on the right shoulder. Witnesses at the scene identified Dethuin as the driver of the car, police said.

An investigation revealed Dethuin was under the influence of alcohol, police said.
She was placed under arrest without incident. No accidents or injuries were reported, police said.

Dethuin is charged with aggravated driving while intoxicated, having a blood-alcohol content of .18 or above; driving while intoxicated; driving while intoxicated; and violations for driving the wrong way on a one-way street and reckless driving.
She is to be arraigned on Thursday at First District Court in Hempstead.
