Kings Park Student Receives Dartmouth College Book Award

Eligible students must be a junior in top five-percent of their class.

Β Adam Behrendt has been awarded this year’s Dartmouth College Book Award, presented by Kings Park High School principal, Lino Bracco.

Behrendt was presented with the book Theodor SEUSS Geisel, a biography of Theodor Geisel, Dartmouth class of 1925, written by Dartmouth professor Donald E. Pease.

Students eligible for this award must be a junior in the top five-percent of their class who has demonstrated intellectual leadership and has made a positive contribution to the extracurricular life of the school.

According to a statement released by Kings Park High School, Behrendt was chosen by theΒ English department due to his outstanding performance in honors and advanced placement courses and the example his sets in the classroom and beyond.
