Crimes Nearby: Police Dog Helps Track Pair Charged With Larceny

Miller Place-Rocky Point
Suffolk County police have arrested a Mt. Sinai man whom they say had a sexual encounter with a 16-year-old student earlier this year while working as a substitute teacher at Eastport South Manor High School.

Allan Concepcion, 38, was arrested Tuesday morning and charged with third-degree rape, a felony, and endangering the welfare of a child, a misdemeanor.
Police said Concepcion also works as the junior varsity volleyball coach at Eastport South Manor High School, and is also employed as a substitute teacher and gymnastics coach at Hampton Bays Middle School.

Port Jefferson
Canine Officer John Mallia and his dog, Blue, helped track down two alleged Port Jefferson Station quad thieves early Tuesday morning. Β Β 

According to police, Jonathan Delrio and Ray Pena, of Port Jefferson Station, were charged with fourth degree criminal possession of stolen property and fourth degree attempted grand larceny, both felonies, for attempting to steal a quad and possessing a stolen motorcycle after Officer Malia and Blue tracked the suspects for two miles. Β 

Commack

  • Gregory Miller, 46, of Commack was arrested in Commack on a charge of theft of services. Police said Miller had been drinking at Jackson’s Restaurant and left the bar without paying the bill. Β Β 
  • Joseph Ancona, 21, of Commack was arrested April 26 at Radburn Drive in Commack on a charge of petty larceny. He was also arrested on a charge criminal possession of a controlled substance for heroin in the seventh degree, a misdemeanor.
Smithtown
  • Timothy Walz, 39, of St. James was arrested on April 21 in St. James and charged with arson. Police said Walz set fire to a lawn of a home in St. James.
  • Β Joseph Trapasso, 34, of Ronkonkoma, was arrested on April 29 in Smithtown and charged with third-degree assault, a misdemeanor. According to police, Trapasso punched someone in the face on Springdale Drive in Ronkonkoma.
  • Andres Panchana, 23, of Holbrook, was arrested in Smithtown on April 26 and charged with driving while intoxicated, first offense, which is a misdemeanor. According to police, Panchana was driving on Route 25 and Terry Road at 10:20 p.m. in Smithtown when he was involved in a crash.

  • Β Jon Wilson, 25, of Ronkonkoma, was arrested on April 25 in Smithtown and charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a misdemeanor. Police said Wilson was driving a 1999 Chrysler Seabring and was serving and unable to stay in the lane he was driving in.

  • Β Brian Healy, 30, of Smithtown, was arrested in Commack on April 19 and charged with second-degree robbery, a felony. Police said Healy stole undisclosed items from the Walmart on Crooked Hill Road in Commack. According to police, as Healy fled, he cut someone with a knife. The robbery occurred at 9:11 p.m. Β
