
Suffolk County Police are seeking the publicβs help in identifying and locating a man they say robbed a bank in Nesconset Tuesday afternoon.
Police say the man entered Capital One at 250 Smithtown Boulevard, approached a teller at about 4:30 p.m. and displayed a note demanding cash. The teller complied and gave him cash from the drawer. The suspect thenΒ fled on foot eastbound on Smithtown Boulevard.
The robber is described as in his late 20s to early 30s, and approximately 5-feet-6-inches tall with a thin build. He had long brown hair and a beard and was wearing a blue flannel jacket, police said.

The investigation is continuing. Detectives are asking anyone with information on the robbery to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS. All calls will remain confidential.
