School Starts Tuesday, Adult Writers Group this Week in Kings Park

School is Back in Session

Kings Park students return to the classrooms on Sept. 3 to kick off the first day of the 2013-14 school year. There will be classes on Sept. 3 and 4 before the buildings close down for Rosh Hashanah. 

School's Closed Camp

Need something for your children to do because school doesn't start till Sept. 9?  Abrakadoodle Art Room in St. James is offering a week-long summer program with half-day or full-day sessions for children. 

Library Card Sign-up Month

September is National Library Card Sign-Up Month. Smithtown Special Library District is encouraging all adults without a library card to come down to one of their branches and sign up for one. A special raffle will be held for all new cardholders to possibly win 4 AMC movie tickets. 

Adult Writers Group

Meet and discuss your current work with other adult writers at the Smithtown Library on Tuesday, 7 p.m. Bring a sample of your work and a few copies. All copies will be returned.
