Mayuri Sridhar and Kenan Mutlu have been chosen as Valedictorian and Salutatorian, respectively, for the Kings Park High School class of 2013.
Both Sridhar and Mutlu were chosen as Intel Science Talent Search Semi-Finalists with Sridhar making it to one of just 40 Intel Finalists chosen nationwide and one of two chosen from Long Island. She competed a study of a protein that plays a role in tumor suppression by running a simulation on a super computer in Tenessee.
Mutlu was one of 300 students chosen as semifinalists to compete for $1.25 million in awards.
