2 Dead In Suffolk Shootings Overnight

Suffolk police are investigating two fatal shootings that occurred overnight.

In the first shooting, officers responded to 31 Gordon Ave. in West Babylon at 11:34 p.m. after a 911 caller reported a man was shot outside the home.

The victim, Danie Philistin, 29, of New Jersey, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The second shooting occurred around 2:50 a.m. in Amityville.

Officers responded to 3331 Great Neck Road after a 911 caller reported a man was shot in the rear yard of the residence.

The victim, Maresse Stevenson, 41, of Amityville, was pronounced dead at the scene.
