2 Students Injured In Lindenhurst High School Fight: Police

This is the second time police responded to an altercation in a district school in about a month.

LINDENHURST, NY — Two students were injured in a fight Monday morning at Lindenhurst High School, Suffolk County Police said.

Police were called around 11:45 a.m. to the school, located at 350 Charles St., after a male and female student were involved in a physical altercation while students were on a bus outside the school.

Both students suffered minor injuries and were taken to hospitals, police said. No weapons were involved.

This is the second incident in about a month of police responding to an altercation at a Lindenhurst school.

On March 28, a 13-year-old was stabbed inside Lindenhurst Middle School, after an argument with another student.

Superintendent Anthony J. Davidson wrote a letter to district families addressing the incident.

"Today's event is unfortunate, yet we know it is important for you to have accurate information regarding such events," said Davidson.
