At The Library: Patron Appreciation Day, Free Movie Thursday

Our local libraries are a source of both knowledge and entertainment, with informational and education events being hosted throughout the week.

The Lindenhurst Memorial Library often hosts these events for little or no charge, so check out the top events going on this week.

• Meditation expert John Bednarik demonstrates the most natural and effective techniques of meditation at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, October 22.
• The Lindy Scrabble Club will meet for teens and kids this Wednesday, October 23 at 4 p.m. Play the real words with friends and learn some spelling techniques!
• Come down for a free movie on Thursday, October 24 and watch The Silver Linings Playbook starting at 1:30 p.m.
• The library will host Patron Appreciation Day on Saturday, October 26 starting at 10 a.m. The festival includes musical entertainment, refreshments, children's crafts, outdoor rides, face painting, pumpkin decorating and much more!
