Beautification Society Honoring Goccia D'Oro

Ristorante is being honored by the Mayor's Beautification Society of Lindenhurst.

The Society will present the long-time Lindy restaurant with its Merchant of the Year Award at its Annual Awards and Luau on August 1 at .

The event serves to honor contributors to the beautification of the Village. It also serves to raise money for the society and help its members keep Lindy clean, green and beautiful year-round.

will be recognized for its contributions as a business to the beautification of downtown Lindenhurst.

The Italian eatery joins a long list of past recipients, dating back to 1996. The most recent recipients include (2011), (2007), Johnny Mica and (2008) and the (2010).

The event's theme has evovled into that of a fun Hawaiian luau, replete with hula dancers and instructions for those in attendance who'd like to give it a try.

There'll also be a Chinese auction and a 50/50 raffle.

Tickets are $40 for adults, $20 children 12 and younger, and that includes a buffet dinner and an open bar.
