Blogger Warns about Toxic Lead Dust for Sandy Victims

Lindenhurst blogger Robert Deacon offers a warning and some tips for homeowners rebuilding after the hurricane.

Lindenhurst business owner and Patch Blogger Robert Deacon recently posted a warning about toxic lead dust.

"Superstorm Sandy forces most of the South Shore homeowners to renovate their homes...not realizing they might've cross-contaminated their homes with toxic lead dust," wrote Deacon, who owns Vango Cleaning.

He goes on to explain who's at risk, what the health effects of lead poisoning are to children and adults, and what precautions could be taken.
