Crews Dispatched by County Sheriff Help Keep Lindy Clean
Lindenhurst gets spruced up by work crews from the Suffolk County Sheriff's Office Vocational Training Program.

Lindenhurst received some beautification assistance from the Suffolk County Sheriff’s Office during the month of July.
Suffolk County Sheriff Vincent DeMarco dispatched work crews to remove debris and refuse at the corner of Montauk Highway and West Lake Drive, at the East end of Lindy.
The area in which the crews worked is adjacent to protected wetlands.

The crews are part of the Sheriff’s Vocational Training Program supports communities with labor, while training prescreened, low-security inmates for eventual employment, according to Sheriff DeMarco's office.
