The traditional camp setting features the extra component of grief support groups.
"Each support group focuses on a different theme including, but not limited to, sharing one’s grief story, identifying and exploring feelings, identifying healthy as well as unhealthy coping skills, and learning ways to stay connected to loved ones even though they are no longer physically with them," the event description said.

At least one in 12 American children experience the death of a parent and/or sibling by the age of 18, the camp description said. And due to the pandemic, an additional 300,000 children have lost a parent or custodial caregiver.
The program operates in the Spring and Fall, as well as summer, and takes place at Camp Pa-Qua-Tuck in Center Moriches. Campgrounds offer all-season cabins, a playground, a petting farm, a fishing pond, and lots of open space for energizing activities for campers.
Proceeds from the bingo event will fund children's ability to attend the camp.
Entry is a $20 donation, which includes four bingo cards. The event will also feature face painting, a 50/50 raffle, a "LottoPop" raffle, and light refreshments.
