Lindenhurst Field Hockey Raises Money and Awareness
Team raises almost $300 for cancer awareness during a recent game.

The Lindenhurst High School girls varsity field hockey team pulled out a victory off the field by raising cancer awareness.
The team, donning pink "Stick It To Cancer" t-shirts," helped to raise money for "Play 4 A Cause," a non-profit organizations whose mission is to develop and introduce novel methods to raise public awareness of diseases.
The team and their parents helped raise almost $300 to help the cause.
To raise the money, the team sold pink cupcakes, brownies, lollipops and pink bracelets at a recent game.
The varsity field hockey team is currently 7-8 on the season and 6-8 in league play.
