Lindenhurst Parents: Apply For 2022-23 Childcare Transportation
Parents can request that schools transport their children for childcare purposes during the 2022-23 school year. An application is required.

LINDENHURST, NY — Lindenhurst parents can now request that the district transport their children to and/or from a childcare provider next school year — but an application is required, and it's due in April.
The Lindenhurst Union Free Schools' Board of Education has outlined guidelines for childcare transportation, which is designed for parents who want their child to be assigned to an alternate bus and brought to/from a childcare provider before and/or after school.
Parents of children in kindergarten through eighth grade can request transportation.

Guidelines are in place for both licensed and non-licensed childcare providers, and they can be found on the school district's website here. The school system offers transportation to licensed providers districtwide, though non-licensed providers have to be in the student's attendance area.
Applications for the 2022-23 academic year are due on April 1, and any applications submitted after that date are subject to bus availability.

Requests must be renewed annually, and must be approved by the school district's Transportation Coordinator.
