Lindenhurst Schools Announces New Science Cooridnator

New coordinators comes to Lindenhurst after time in Long Island City.

The Lindenhurst School District has announced the appointment of Chrystie Young as its new science coordinator. 

Young joins Lindenhurst from William Cullen Bryant High School in Long Island City where she served as science department coordinator, lead chemistry teacher and science teacher. 

Young began her career as a criminalist in the Forensic Investigations Division of the New York City police department.

She received her Bachelor of Science in chemistry and forensic science from the University of New Haven, earned her Master of Science education in chemistry and her advanced certificate as school building leader and district leader from Queens College.

“Student success and achievement are the ultimate goals,” said Young. “I will continue to promote a dedicated learning environment as the district’s science coordinator.”
