We've put together a list of events happening in Lindenhurst and the surrounding area to give you some ideas.

Events
The ice skating rink at Tanger Outlets at The Arches is open and readey for skaters. A live DJ will keep the beats going Friday from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m.

At the West Islip Public Library, those who own e-readers can learn how to download books from the library and other helpful tips. The class takes place on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Folks should bring their ereader with them.

Fitzgerald's Driving School in North Babylon is offering a 5-hour prelicensing course starting at 10 a.m. Saturday. The class costs $55.

Catch a musical adaptation of "Sleeping Beauty" at the Studio Theatre in Lindenhurst on Saturday at 2 p.m. Tickets are $10.

In Babylon Village, the Legendary Murphys bring their acoustic classic rock to the Babylon Carriage House on Saturday from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Spend an afternoon watching live performers at the Sunday Song Swap at the BACCA Performing Arts Center in Lindenhurst from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.

Community members are invited to share a free homemade meal at Westminster United Presbyterian Church in West Islip on Sunday at 4 p.m. All are welcome.

All The Perks Cafe in West Babylon hosts a poetry open mic night on Sunday beginning at 5:30 p.m.
