Lindy Happenings: Bluegrass Festival, Village Concert, Pet-a-Palooza
Highlights this weekend, August 17 to 19, include a Ridler concert at Village Square, BACCA's Bluegrass Festival and Song Swap, Pet-a-Palooza, KoC Picnic, LOOM breakfast, Studio Theatre shows, nail salon special and Beach Hut music.

Annual Barbecue on Friday Night
The Squires' Annual Barbecue is set for August 17 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Lindenhurst Knights of Columbus.
Admission is $10 adults, $5 kids (10 and younger) and $30 per immediate family for all you can eat.
Menu includes hamburgers, hot dogs, barbecue chicken, sausage, corn on the cob and assorted salads. Beer, wine and soda, as well as coffee, tea and dessert, will also be served.
RSVP is requested, but not required.

Concert on Saturday Night
The Village of Lindenhurst scheduled for Saturday night features Ridler.
It starts at at the Village Square at the corner of North Wellwood and East Hoffman Avenues.

Annual Bluegrass Festival on Saturday
The 10th Annual Bluegrass Festival is set for this Saturday, , at in Copiague.
It's presented by BACCA, Town, the Long Island Traditional Music Association (LITMA), Suffolk County, the NYSCA and .
Admission for adults is $15; for BACCA members, seniors (60 and older), disabled people and children younger than 12, $10; and children younger than seven, free.
The hours are Saturday, from 12 p.m. to 8 p.m., rain or shine.
An Open Mic session will be on the main stage from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m.
There's free parking for the event, and it's recommended residents bring a lawn chair, but no pets or alcohol.
