Lindenhurst man impersonated a registered salesman, duping victims over the age of 60.

A Lindenhurst man has been arrested by two bail bondsman for failing to appear in court after an alleged chimney scam in Connecticut.
Frederick Dapice III, a 41-year old Lindenhurst man, was arrested earlier this year in January on charges of second-degree larceny of a victim over 60 years old, home improvement without a registration certificate, working without a building permit, failure to obtain tax permit and the key charge – impersonating a registered salesman/contractor.
According to New Canaan News, Dapice was involved with a chimney-cleaning scam in the New Canaan area. He was released then on a $5,000 bond.
Dapice failed to show up in court on October 1, however, and police issued a warrant for his arrest, charging him with first-degree failure to appear, a felony.
He was held in lieu of $35,000. He was scheduled to appear in court on October 17.
