Police Identify Man Found Stabbed To Death Near Copiague Deli

COPIAGUE, NY — Suffolk County Police have identified a man who was found stabbed to death in Copiague on Monday night.

At about 7:40 p.m., officers found Jose Argueta-Canales, 30, of Copiague, on the ground next to a deli on Barcellona Place, police said.

He was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

An autopsy will be performed by personnel from the Office of the Suffolk County Medical Examiner.
