Man Injured, Shot Inside Car At North Amityville Traffic Light: Cops
The man was at a red light when he was shot, police say.
NORTH AMITYVILLE, NY — A man is injured after he was shot while inside his car in North Amityville on Monday night, Suffolk County Police said.
Suffolk County Police First Squad detectives are investigating an incident during which a man was shot on Monday night, September 4, in Amityville.
At about 10:50 p.m., a man was stopped at a red light in the driver's seat of a car at the intersection of Harrison Avenue and Broadway when shots were fired at him from another vehicle. The suspect's vehicle fled the scene.

The man was struck in the legs and was taken to a local hospital for treatment of serious but non-life threatening injuries, police said.
