Lindenhurst Middle School seventh-grader Lily Poplawski was recently awarded in a special contest promoted by Pop-Tarts.
The contest asked participants to name their favorite flavor and why they love it. Poplawski's pick was gluten-free chocolate mint Pop-Tarts.
For her winning entry, she recevied a $500 Visa gift card, and Lindenhurst Middle Schools received $1,000 worth of merchandise from Best Buy.
