Middle Schooler's Essay Wins Veterans Awareness Contest
Alex Agudelo won third place in Town of Babylon's essay contest on the importance of honoring veterans.
Lindenhurst Middle School student Alex Agudelo recently won third place in the Town of Babylon's for winning Veterans’ Awareness Week Essay Contest.
For his essay, “Why Should We Honor Our Veterans?" Alex received a $50 Target gift card and attended a special celebration to honor local veterans.
"We are so proud of alex and are honored to help him celebrate his
accomplishments,” said teachers Melissa Wagner and Andrea DiTaranto.
