May 3, 2013: Lindenhurst High School held its Seventh Annual Bulldog Triathlon. Credit: Carol Hauser, Lindenhurst Schools On Friday 77 Lindenhurst High School students participated in the Seventh Annual Bulldog Triathlon, coordinated by the high school’s physical education department.

There were 51 boys and 26 girls who participated - mostly juniors and seniors.

The student-athletes swam 1/4 mile, biked five miles in the streets around the LHS, and ran/jogged/walked two miles.

The top finishers in the boys’ bracket were:

  • First Place: Corey Birsner, 32:23.
  • Second Place: Timmy Steinman, 35:48.
  • Third Place: Francis Zuber, 35:55. 
The top female finishers were:
  • First Place: Alyssa Barthelmes, 43:48.
  • Second Place: Kiersten Gustavson, 46:25.
  • Third Place: Nora McKenna, 46:53.
