Sachem North Deals Lindenhurst a Loss
Bulldogs take a hard loss to Sachem on eastern opponent's senior night.
The Sachem North Flaming Arrows knocked down the Lindenhurst Bulldogs on their Senior Night in Ronkonkoma, handing the green-and-whites a defeat to the tune of 31-6.
Sachem North took an early lead in the first quarter off of two 30-plus yard runs by runningback Kevin Bragaglia and never looked back after the 14-0 lead.
Lindenhurst was able to push across a touchdown in the second quarter, but the game was already out of reach then as the Flaming Arrows had built up a 28-0 lead.
Lindy quarterback Ryan Hoffman tossed a huge 66 yard pass to wide receiver Nick Soriano in the second, bringing the Bulldogs to within three scores, but the Flaming Arrows would have none of it kicking a field goal later before the half to take what would end up being the final score.
Lindenhurst fell to 1-5 in conference and 1-6 on the year. Sachem North improved to 5-2 overall.
Lindenhurst's final game of the 2013 season will be this Friday against Half Hallow Hills East at 2 p.m.
