Snowfall Totals in Lindy for Feb. 8 Blizzard

Find out how much snow Lindenhurst received and how it measured up against snow totals in nearby communities on Long Island - and share how much you received in your neighborhood.

The February 8 blizzard left a ton of snow in its wake, burying cars, homes and everything else in its path here in Suffolk County, especially the farther East you went.

The National Weather Service has started putting together the list of final snow accumulations throughout the Northeast following the storm.

Lindenhurst was on the list for Suffolk County with 20.5 inches.

Ray Fais, emergency manager for the Village, put snow totals in the Village in the double digits.

"I'd say we received between 13 and 15 inches depending on where you are in the Village," he said.

Residents and readers also chimed in on Lindenhurst Patch's Facebook page here with snowfall amounts on Friday night into Saturday as and after snow fell:

In North Lindenhurst there seemed to be about a good foot and a half of snow.
