Students, Residents Walk for Childhood Cancer Research
Christina Renna Foundation's 2013 walk-a-thon hailed a success.
The Christina Renna Foundation held its 2013 walk-a-thon and blood drive on Sept. 22 at the Lindenhurst Middle School athletic field.
Athletes from Lindenhurst Middle School and Lindenhurst High School enjoyed a sunny morning walking around the track to raise money to benefit children’s cancer research.
“Many of the athletic teams enjoyed a beautiful walk to support an excellent cause,” said Anthony Amesti, coordinator Athletics, Physical Education and Health. “A special thank you is extended to head football coach Nick Lombardo.”
