Ward Melville Comes From Behind Over Lindenhurst
Bulldogs fall after holding lead going into halftime.

The Lindenhurst Bulldogs are still in search of the first win in 2013 after falling to Ward Melville on Friday, 35-28.
The Bulldogs led 14-0 early in the game behind a 97-yard kickoff return touchdown and a seven-yard run by Lindy's Manzione, but the Patriots pushed a 68-yard touchdown by Michael Troy across the endzone for a Lindy lead of 14-7 at the end of the first.
Lindenhurst added another touchdown by Nick Soriano on a 41-yard pass by Sean Varela, but missed the extra point kick. The Bulldogs ended the half up 20-14.
But the Patriots attack came out fighting in the second, scoring three touchdowns over the final two quarters to take a 35-28 lead.
A final Hail Mary pass by Varela was intercepted, ending the game with a loss for Lindenhurst.
The Bulldogs will head to Connetquot in search of their first season win this Friday at 6 p.m.
