Town Refurbishing Skate Park at Tanner Park


The Town of Babylon has awarded a contract to start the refurbishing of the skate park at Tanner Park.

According to a report by The Babylon Beacon, the town awarded a contract to Bridgeport-based Rampage Skate Park Equipment, which produces skatepark equipment that reportedly last long due to high quality.


Police: Men Stole Baby Formula, Phone at Lindy Pharmacy


Suffolk County Police are seeking the public's help in locating two men after they allegedly stole items from a Lindenhurst pharmacy last week.

According to police, the two men entered the Rite Aid located at 600 N. Wellwood Avenue on Sept. 18, stealing babylon formula at approximately 7:40 p.m.

Lindenhurst Woman Pleads Guilty in Medicaid Scheme


Angel Ambulette owner and Lindenhurst native Patricia Clague has agreed to plead guilty to one count of grand larceny in Nassau County Court Friday. 

The owner of the Massapequa-based business will pay back $348,000 and spend four months in jail after pleading guilty to Medicaid fraud, the state attorney general said.

Village: Main Fire Department Relocated to Fireman's Park


The Village of Lindenhurst has moved two fire companies out of the Lindenhurst Main House on South Wellwood Avenue to the house at Fireman's Park effective immediately today.

Deputy Mayor Kevin McCaffrey announced the move today as work on the demolition and reconstruction of the Main House ramps up.

Village Plans Road Resurfacing This Fall


The Village of Lindenhurst will be giving some roadways throughout our area a fresh surface this Fall.

The village board approved a measure approving recommendations made by the deputy administrator and highway foreman for the village that listed 10 streets that were in need of micro-resurfacing.
