Workers for Grace Industries, the firm hired to rebuild Long Beach's 2.2-mile boardwalk, were putting down tropical hardwood decking in the area between Laurelton and Lafayette beaches on Wednesday. The first four-block section of the reconstructed walkway, from Long Beach to Magnolia boulevards, was officially opened to the public last Saturday.
