Biz Support: A Business Support Center opens at the West End Library, 810 W. Beech St., where technical assistance and information is offered to new and existing businesses to grow and support long- and short-term economic recovery effort after Hurricane Sandy. There will be a speaker on New York State Sandy-related funding and one-on-one evaluations at 3 p.m. Wednesday. More information here.
On Deck: Patch will post a story Wednesday about states across the nation that are bracing for pending changes to the Federal Emergency Management Agency’s redrawn flood maps.
Get Fruits and Veggies: The Farmer’s Market is in open ever Wednesday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Kennedy Plaza outside Long Beach City Hall, 1 W. Chester St. (The market returns each Saturday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.).
