Here’s a look at what’s happening in Long Beach on Wednesday.

Candidates Forum

• The League of Women Voters of Long Beach and the Long Beach Public Library present the Long Beach City Council Candidates’ Forum at 7 p.m. Thursday at the library, 111 W. Park Ave. A representative of the LWV-Nassau County will moderate the forum.

Gala Dinner

• The Long Beach Latino Civic Association will hold a gala dinner at Bridgeview Yacht Club, 80 Waterfront Blvd. in Island Park, at 7 p.m. Thursday.

Weather

• Mother Nature will deliver mostly cloudy skies and a 20 percent chance of rain in Long Beach on Thursday. The mercury is expected to climb into the low 70s.
