Caregiver Support, Astone in Concert, Thunderstorm Coming

Find out what's happening in Long Beach on Wednesday.

Caregiver Support: The Nassau County Office for the Aging, in cooperation with the Long Beach Public Library, is coordinating a support group that is targeted to respond to the needs of caregivers of older persons. The first meeting will be held at the library, at 101 W. Park Ave., from from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. Wednesday. 

Beach Tunes: The summer concert series continues Wednesday with Italian Night with Con Astone at New York Avenue beach. The concert start at 8 p.m.

Get Your Fruits and Veggies: The Farmer’s Market is in business every Wednesday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Kennedy Plaza outside Long Beach City Hall. (The market returns on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.).

The Shorgasboard: The food truck market, established this summer as a pilot program, operates each day from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. at Riverside Boulevard and Shore Road.

Weather
: Mother Nature is bringing scatter thunderstorms to Long Beach on Wednesday, with a 40 percent chance of rain. The mercury is expected to climb into the mid-70s.
