Group Robs Woman on Freeport Street
The woman was robbed just after midnight Monday, cops said.

Nassau Police are searching for a group of people who robbed a woman in Freeport early Monday morning.
At 12:09 a.m., the 27-year-old victim was sitting on the corner of Woodcleft Avenue and Manhattan Street when a group of men and women walked by, cops said.
The victim and the group got into an argument, which escalated when one of the women began punching the victim, police said. She was described as heavy set, in her 20s, had bleached blond hair, and was wearing a red shirt.

The group took the victim’s pocketbook and ran west on Manhattan Avenue, cops said.
The victim suffered minor injuries but refused medial attention, police said.

Detectives are asking anyone with information to call Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS. All callers will remain anonymous.
