While kickoff at Veterans Field is at 7 p.m., festivities begin a half-hour earlier with a carnival at the school gymnasium, featuring food, games and activities for children of all ages.
The weekend’s festivities will be capped off on Saturday with a special Wall of Fame induction ceremony commemorating the 100th anniversary of the district at 10 a.m. at Long Beach High School. This year’s honorees are John Radin, William Reynolds, David Salten and Cliff Skudin. The ceremony is open to the public.
