Sandy Commemoration Ceremony

A ceremony to commemorate the one-year anniversary of Hurricane Sandy will be held at Kennedy Plaza, outside the front of City Hall at 1 W. Chester St., at 11 a.m. Saturday.

West End Civic Meeting

The West End Neighbors Civic Association will meet at the West End Community Center (at the south end of the West Elementary School), at 91 Maryland Ave., on Wednesday. The guest speaker is Kyle Strober, Long Island Regional director for U.S. Senator Charles Schumer.

Westholme Civic Meeting

The West Holme Civic Association will meet at VFW Hall, at 675 W. Park Ave., at 7 p.m. Tuesday. The association invited the six candidates for Long Beach City Council to take part in a council forum.

Zoning Board Meeting

The Long Beach Zoning Board of Appeal will hold a regular meeting at City Hall at 7 p.m. Thursday. Read the agenda here.
