State law requires that all motorists must stop when a school bus displays a red stop sign and/or red flashing lights while picking up or discharging passengers. All vehicles traveling in the same or opposite direction of a school bus must allow all passengers to cross to the other side of the street. Failure to do so could result in a dangerous situation.
