WHAT: Please join on us the red carpet as the sun sets over the bay at the biggest social event of the season. The worlds of sports and style collide as your hosts, Coach Mo Cassara and News 12 Long Island’s Elisa DiStefano, bring you an exciting event- beachside! 

Slip on your sandals and sip on a summer cocktail on the south shore at the waterfront (and newly rebuilt after devastation from Superstorm Sandy) Buoy Bar in Point Lookout, Thursday August 29th from 6-9 pm. Sneakers & Sandals will serve up a night of delicious bites and dancing on the dock or in the sand as the sun sets over Reynolds Channel—all in the name of charity.

Coach Mo Cassara’s Sneakers & Sandals Beach Ball will benefit The American Cancer Society’s Coaches vs. Cancer program and the Mohawk Avenue Saint Foundation.

"The Mohawk Avenue Saint Foundation was established to help victims of disaster. I wanted to take a person's broken house and help make it more like their home," explains Doug O'Grady, founder of the Mohawk Saint Foundation, a charity benefiting from Coach Mo Cassara's Sneakers & Sandals fundraiser.

 "Meeting Mo made me think, there is someone who sticks up for the little guy and tries to see the good in people. I'm honored a west end kid from Long Beach could be mentioned in the same sentence with such great inspiring people like Mo."

Anthony Marino, Division Director for Coaches vs. Cancer agrees, "Mo Cassara's commitment and support of the American Cancer Society as part of Coaches vs. Cancer is simply incredible.  He is a leader in the fight against cancer, and we couldn't be happier to have him on our team."
