Long Island's 4th Of July Fireworks 2020 Canceled
Long Island's traditional Fourth of July events have been canceled.
LONG ISLAND, NY – July 4 events across the country will not look the same this year thanks to the coronavirus. Many cities and towns have been forced to cancel the annual Fourth of July events, including Long Island.
In Long Island, residents traditionally celebrate the Fourth of July by flocking to Jones Beach State Park for a fireworks show. Social distancing measures and coronavirus-related safety concerns, however, have forced organizers to cancel the Summer 2020 event.
