9/11 Ceremony, Merrick Cinemas Special Movie Event

1. The Merrick Fire Department will host a 9/11 remembrance ceremony at 7 p.m. to honor the lives of two of its members, Ex-Chief Ronnie Gies and Ex-Capt. Brian Sweeney, who died during the Sept. 11, 2001 terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center.

2. To commemorate the twelfth anniversary of the Sept. 11, 2001 terrorist attacks, Merrick Cinemas will host a special one-night screening of the documentary, "Out Of The Clear Blue Sky," at 7 p.m.
