An outbreak of Legionnaires' disease has sickened at least 10 people on the Wantagh-Hicksville border. The Islanders hockey season is officially underway. A 96-year-old Merrick woman has beat COVID-19, and the majority of employees at one nearby hospital have agreed to get vaccinated.

- The LI Herald reports that at least 10 Wantagh and Levittown residents are sick with Legionellosis (also known as Legionnaires' disease.) Those ill are within a one-mile radius of Wantagh Avenue and Old Jerusalem Road. There has been an increase in cases statewide. (LI Herald)
- News 12 Long Island checks out Nassau County's new dome which was lit orange and blue for the Islanders' first game of the season Thursday. The team kicked off its 13-game road trip in North Carolina. (News 12)
