Merrick Fire Department to Host 9/11 Remembrance Ceremony
The ceremony will take place at Merrick Fire Department's 9/11 Memorial on Merrick Avenue and Sunrise Highway on Wednesday.
The Merrick Fire Department will host a 9/11 remembrance ceremony on Wednesday to honor the lives of two of its members, Ex-Chief Ronnie Gies and Ex-Capt. Brian Sweeney, who died during the Sept. 11, 2001 terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center.
The ceremony will take place at the Merrick Fire Department's 9/11 Memorial on Merrick Avenue and Sunrise Highway at 7 p.m.Â
