New Building Leadership Teams In Rocky Point

Students and staff are recognizing some new faces and some who have returned to share in the mission, traditions and values of the district.

The Rocky Point School District has worked diligently during the summer months to implement some administrative changes in the elementary and middle schools commencing in the 2022-2023 school year. Students and staff are recognizing some new faces and some who have returned to share in the mission, traditions and values of the district.

Linda Greening, who served as the Frank J. Carasiti School assistant principal, was appointed principal of Joseph A. Edgar Intermediate School. Dr. Courtney Herbert, who served as the Joseph A. Edgar Intermediate School assistant principal, has now joined the staff as an assistant principal at Rocky Point Middle School.

Benjamin Paquette is the assistant principal at Joseph A. Edgar Intermediate School. Paquette is a graduate of the Rocky Point School District and returns to the district from his position as a school programmer and teacher at The Francis Lewis School. Nicole Pletka is the assistant principal at the Frank J. Carasiti Elementary School. Pletka was formerly a second grade teacher at Frank J. Carasiti and returns to the district from her most recent position as a teacher leader in the Shoreham-Wading River Central School District.
