Montauk's 60th Annual St. Patrick's Day Parade Set To Delight
Irish eyes will be smiling in Montauk this weekend as the time-honored tradition brings more than 40,000 to "The End".

MONTAUK, NY — Irish eyes will be smiling Sunday in Montauk as the 60th Annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade kicks off. The event draws a crowd of thousands every year for a time-honored tradition to Montauk, or The End.
"Organized by The Montauk Friends of Erin, the parade has become a part of the fabric of the community and has welcomed up to 40,000 smiling faces in past years, with this year expected to be the best yet," the group said.
To kick off the festivities, a grand marshal's luncheon will be held Friday at noon, where the Montauk Friends of Erin will honor Marilyn Behan at Gurney's. Just as in year's past, Behan, this year's grand marshal, will be introduced, roasted, and presented with a parade sash, top hat and shillelagh, or Irish walking stick.

Next, on Saturday from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m., the annual gala cocktail party, a fundraiser for the parade, takes place at Gurney's Montauk.
