ROCKLAND COUNTY, NY — Don't miss Winter Fest 2023, the Arts Council of Rockland's holiday event Sunday at the Palisades Center.
"This event is designed to support local artists and artisans with a venue to sell their work, while also offering youth musicians, singers, and dancers an opportunity to perform for the public," said ACOR Executive Director Dorothy Atzl. "There will be 30 vendors selling artist-made gifts, youth music, dance, and literary performances, interactive art activities, and an art exhibit."
The event is free to the public and runs from noon to 6 p.m., outside Macy’s.

Attendees can participate in activities including face painting, henna art, and crafts provided by vendors. There will also be a free picture book musical for kids of all ages.
The marketplace will foster a connection between creators and the community. The youth performer initiative aims to encourage and nurture the community's next generation of artists.

The art exhibit takes Winter Fest 2023 beyond the traditional festival experience. Located at the ACOR Hidden Treasure Gallery adjacent to the event area, it will feature the works of artists from Music for Life Creative Arts Therapy, celebrating the diversity of artistic expression and inviting the community to experience the beauty of art from a different perspective. It also is free.
"Palisades Center is honored to collaborate with The Arts Council of Rockland for Winter Fest 2023, an event that showcases local artists' creativity," said Darrin Houseman, General Manager of Palisades Center. "It's a terrific opportunity for families to gather and celebrate the holiday season."
