HUDSON VALLEY, NY — Showers and thunderstorms are in the forecast for Monday, Tuesday and Friday, and the National Weather Service has issued a hazardous outlook for Dutchess and Ulster counties.

The NWS said: "There is a chance of thunderstorms, mainly for the afternoon and evening hours, with a marginal risk for severe thunderstorms for most of eastern New York and western New England. The main threat with any thunderstorms will be the potential for damaging wind gusts.

"In addition, locally heavy downpours will be possible with any thunderstorms this afternoon and evening. Minor flooding of urban, poor drainage and low-lying areas is possible and isolated flash flooding cannot be ruled out."
