10-Year-Old Boy Killed In Crash On Route 304
Clarkstown police said the crash involved a mini-van and a pick-up truck.

NANUET, NY — A 10-year-old boy was killed Tuesday evening when a pick-up truck and a mini-van collided at Route 304 and West Nyack Road.
Clarkstown police responding to calls at 6:15 p.m. found two vehicles heavily damaged, a Toyota Sienna and a Ford F-150 both with airbag deployment.
Each was occupied by a driver and one passenger.

The passenger in the Sienna had severe injuries and was not breathing. Officers began CPR until emergency responders took over. At the scene, Nanuet Community Ambulance Corps, Pearl River EMS, New City EMS, Nyack EMS, and Rockland Paramedics treated all four of the injured people. All of them were transported via ambulance to local hospitals. Route 304 was closed for hours.
The boy died of his injuries at the hospital, police said.

"We are withholding the identity of the deceased at this time until notifications are made to his family," Det. Norman Peters said Wednesday morning. "At the time of this update there is no further information on the conditions of the other injured parties."
