Man, Woman Charged with Heroin Possession on Parkway

State troopers say a traffic violation led to the drug charges.

A Bardonia man and a Nyack woman are accused of heroin possession after their car was stopped for a traffic violation on the Palisades Interstate Parkway early today, according to State Police.

Police said a car driven by Nicholas Delorenzo, 29, of Bardonia was stopped by troopers from the Haverstraw barracks at 2:15 a.m. in Orangetown. Approaching the passenger side of the vehicle, a trooper saw drug paraphernalia on the front passenger seat, police said.

A investigation found that Delorenzo and his passenger, Christina L. Warner, 25, of Nyack, were in possession of heroin and syringes, police said.
