New Graduates And Academic Achievements

These Nanuet residents earned bachelor and master’s degrees and academic honors recently.

The Class of 2013 at The College of Saint Rose included: Caitlin Nolan who earned a Bachelor of Arts degree, Michael Murtagh who earned a Bachelor of Arts degree and Meghan Macrobbie earned a Master of Science in Education degree.

Fairleigh Dickinson University's Metropolitan Campus in Teaneck, NJ announced John Parisi, graduated as of May 2013.

David Pernick received a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Tufts University on May 19

Berklee College of Music announces that Benjamin Pernick has earned placement on the Dean's List for the spring semester of the 2013 academic year.

Kellianne McLoughlin, finance major in the Class of 2013, made the Spring 2013 Dean's List at Hofstra University. 

Kelly A. Slaybaugh has been named to second honors on the Clark University Dean's List for the Spring 2013 semester. To be eligible for second honors, students must have a grade point average of 3.5 or higher.

During its Spring Commencement Weekend May 17-19, the University at Albany awarded approximately 3,100 degrees. Local students receiving degrees included: Normandie Gateau who graduated with a Bachelor of Arts; Frank Wolak who graduated with a Bachelor of Science; John Mitts who graduated with a Bachelor of Arts; Simona Drapkin-Chuprun who graduated with a Bachelor of Science; Alex Petit-Frere who graduated with a Bachelor of Arts; Chidiebere Ezemma who graduated with a Bachelor of Arts and Taylor O'Connor who graduated with a Bachelor of Arts.

The following students were named to the University at Albany's spring 2013 Dean's List for outstanding academic achievement: Claudia Brennan; Simona Drapkin-Chuprun; Normandie Gateau; Nicole Lacava; Cristian Palma; Brian Philip; James Shupe; Kyle Suarez and Frank Wolak.

Leanne Rafferty was named to the Dean's List at Stevenson University for the Spring 2013 Semester. Students who earn the Dean's List honor must carry at least 12 graded credit hours and earn a grade point average of a 3.50 or better.

Nicole Mendicino, a sophomore Psychology major, has been named to the Dean's List for the spring 2013 semester in the College of Liberal Arts, Education, and Sciences at Rider University.

The College of Saint Rose in Albany, NY, today announced that 812 students have been named to the Dean's List for the spring 2013 semester. Full-time students who complete a minimum of 12 credit hours and achieve a semester grade-point average of at least 3.5 with no grades of D, F, Incomplete or Pass/Fail are eligible for inclusion on the Dean's List. The Dean's List included: Michael Murtagh.

Nicole Coghlan, an Occupational Therapy major in the class of 2014, was named to the Dean's list in Ithaca College's School of Health Sciences and Human Performance for the Spring 2013 semester.

Shefene Wright received an Associate of Arts from Oxford College of Emory University in Atlanta at its 168th commencement ceremony on May 11, 2013.
